Services

I am an integrative psychotherapist, and I have honed clinical expertise using evidence-based psychodynamic, DBT, and CBT interventions. I carefully tailor my approach to the unique issues and goals of each person I work with. I am passionate about providing clinical services to individuals with a range of identities, presenting problems, and diagnoses. I am dedicated to upholding an open, curious, and non-judgmental way of working in which I seek to acknowledge difference while embracing unity. I provide a safe, therapeutic space to all and seek to consistently support marginalized groups.

Structure

Consultation call

Following your initial contact, we will schedule a 15-20 minute consultation call in which you can share more with me about reasons for seeking therapy and ask questions about my services, insurance, and fees. Should we determine that it makes sense to proceed, we will schedule the first therapy session. Before the first session, you will receive a link to fill out an online intake questionnaire and consent forms that you will sign electronically.

Sessions:

My practice is fully virtual at this time, with sessions taking place on a secure and confidential video platform. Individual sessions are either 45 minutes or 60 minutes. The first two sessions we will meet weekly. Once we establish your treatment goals, we can increase or decrease the frequency of the meetings. Patients must be located in the state of New York during therapy sessions.

Cancellation Policy

When cancelling or rescheduling sessions, please provide at least 24 hours notice. If you request less than 24 hours from the scheduled session, we can try to find an alternative time, but if we are not able to, the session will be charged in full.

Payment

I may be able to offer a sliding scale rate based on income and financial need, depending on availability. We can discuss cost and financial needs in the initial consultation call. Most insurance plans have out-of-network coverage, which means that you may be able to get significantly reimbursed for the sessions. If you have these benefits, I will provide you with a monthly “superbill” that you can submit for reimbursement.

Questions for insurance when you call them to inquire about out-of-network benefits:

  • Do I have out-of-network coverage for outpatient psychotherapy (CPT code 90834 or 90837)?

  • I would like to see a licensed clinical psychologist with NPI number 1770208209, zip code: 33139. What is the amount I can expect to be reimbursed per session?

  • Do I have a deductible that I have to first meet? If so, how much is it and how much have I already met?

  • Is there a cap on the number of visits per year?

  • What is the process for submitting claims?

  • How long will it take for me to get reimbursed?
